Mission Viejo has three golf courses of its own and there are two parks per square mile in this region. Cordova South is within walking distance of Cordova Park and close to Ladera Ranch Sports Park. Residents also have access to the beaches and activities of Lake Mission Viejo.
Mission Viejo is considered to be a suburban city as well as one of the largest master-planned communities in the United States. It is comprised of mostly residential areas and is recognized by the National Arbor Day Foundation because of its beautiful tree-lined streets.
